I'm actually using the tv-out (s-video) successfully on a GeForce 6200 right now w/Ubuntu 9.04. Seems like it doesn't switch back and forth between monitor and tv though. If you want to switch you have to reboot. That's probably an option in xorg.conf that I haven't added though.

Subject: [SLUG] video cards

I'm considering getting what Newegg calls an "XFX PVT44AWANG GeForce 6200" ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150107 )
for my DVR. How can I find out if there's an xorg driver for it that supports TV-out? I swear there used to be a "supported cards" list at xfree86.org but even if that's true it's no help.
