Thus Eben King hast written on Tue, Feb 02, 2010 at 02:03:42PM -0500, and, according to prophecy, it shall come to pass that:
> >>I bet you can PXE boot that vaio. I'm thinking of having a pxeboot box
> >>be a regular attraction at my pinellas meeting, it's pretty easy to
> >>setup though - especially if you control dhcp.
> >
> >You should do it!
> >Remember those 1.2 U purple boxs I have....
>
> SGI/IRIX?

Sorry, they're 1U high and 1/2 U wide.

No, not SGI/IRIX.

They're from a failed project at the last company I worked for. We
bought them from a company called "Oculan" that made an open source
based network monitor with a common web interface. These little boxes
were for IDS/monitoring and a Nagios/SNMP polling type setup. They have
3 NICs, a serial port and an internal CF reader that connects to IDE
for storage. But that's about it. ...The power switches are cool too.
We were never able to get them to boot anything except what is in flash.
