Hi Ron,

How about this:

[ 2.884208] input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard as
/devices/platform/i8042/serio0/input/input3
[ 3.360043] usb 4-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and
address 2
[ 3.552057] usb 4-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
[ 3.639854] Floppy drive(s): fd0 is 1.44M
[ 3.659317] FDC 0 is a National Semiconductor PC87306
[ 3.828553] e100: Intel(R) PRO/100 Network Driver, 3.5.23-k6-NAPI
[ 3.828559] e100: Copyright(c) 1999-2006 Intel Corporation

It has both 1.4 and 1.2 drives. Haven't tried the 1.2 in years. Maybe
Linux is calling that 1.2 FDC 0? Can't see a disk full of files in the
fd0. Rescan turns the drive's light on but no reading is achieved.

I guess the USB floppy is not on the list, wasn't plugged in at the time.
