I don't remember if I have ever seen enlightenment permanently hang like that,
but I boot into LINUX and manually run enlightenment. (oldtimers disease)
In enlightenment the "restart enlightenment" command is:
" Restart Enlightenment" NULL exec " eesh restart"
(The NULL cancels the menu icon.)
I indent this descriptor by a half dozed spaces to set it aside until needed.
I always create an alias for "startx as x . (and one for man as m )
