[SLUG] ata 100 cards

does anyone use a aftermarket ata 66 or 100 card? there is a deal at staples
right now, 30gb maxtor HD ata 100 ( 90bucks after coupon)
you can get a free maxtor ata100 controller card with proof of purchase. I
was wondering how they worked or are they just headaches?

also would they show up as scsi drives?
