Re: [SLUG] IRC - Questions PLUS I need a job

Alright, children, I think we can do without some of the flaming and
bickering that's been going on in the last few days.

Someone was good enough to provide an IRC channel for the group,
regardless of how much work anyone thinks it did or didn't take to do
so. If you don't appreciate the effort, or you don't care for IRC or
this channel, then by no means are you obligated to patronize it.

If you create and promote an IRC channel, no one comes, and you feel
under-appreciated, just remember you volunteered. No, it's not fair.
Neither is life.

If someone with poor capitalization, grammar, punctuation and spelling
is looking for a job, you are under no obligation to hire them. Let
their prospective employers deal with it.

If someone's poor English bothers you, do you imagine that publicly
pointing it out will improve it? It is guaranteed to aggravate people,
though.

I usually try to stay out of these things and let them die their own
deaths. And I've seen much worse flamefests. But this one doesn't seem
to want to die, and I'd like to not see it escalate.

Okay?

Paul
