Yes of course car shows, boat shows, gun shows etc. are on the weekends.
But I wonder if shows like that are partly, mostly or completely geared
toward end consumers. In which case, weekend shows would be a capital
idea.

But the fact remains that I've never seen a computer tech show on the
weekend. I can only assume that 1) employees are being paid to attend,
and/or 2) they wouldn't go if they were on the weekends, and/or 3) the
shows are geared specifically toward businesses, _not_ consumers.
Judging by the type of exhibitors at these shows, I'd say #3 above is a
certainty.
