Re: [SLUG] Road Runner and the Mysterious Repeating mail

The dupes have eased up, at least temporarily. There has been something
strangely arbitrary about the appearance of these duplicates. There
have been stretches of time when I will receive constantly appearing
dupes for a few days. It's usually only a couple of emails that get
duped. Then it will stop for a period of time, then a new set of dupes
will start appearing. This last go-around was really wierd. Hundreds
occurred, then it stopped for several hours, then the same dupes started
up again, only to stop and start up again a day or so later.

RR was working on their email servers last night and service was
interrupted for awhile. Their network status reported interruptions due
to authentication testing. Pop-servers wouldn't accept your
username/password, even on the command-line. Hopefully, they were taking
care of the dupes issue as well, although there is no word of
recognition from them of a problem. Since then, I have not received any
dupes. Hopefully, this will be the rule and not the exception.
