Yeah, mine's plugged into a UPS too. So weather definitely does have
something to do with it. However, it could be that the way my
particular cable runs from the CO, it's more susceptible to
weather-related stuff.

But having it go down isn't the real problem. The problem is that in
order to be able to use it once it's back up, I have to reset the
firewall. I feel so "Windows-y" doing that.
