I'd recommend the Geforce2 as well, with a couple of caveats:

1. AGP 4x writes on kt-133 motherboards seems to cause random crashes..
I've been forced to set NvAGP=0 on all of my boxes with nVidia cards to allow
them more than an hour of gameplay before crashing.

2. I've had a hell of a time trying to get agpgart to be used by the
nVidia driver instead of the native nVidia GART support.

3. Fast writes didn't work on any of my motherboards. Sideband
addressing didn't seem to help at all.

4. The current nVidia detonator 1250 driver is NOT SMP SAFE,
particularly with a 2.4 kernel. Sure, it works for a bit, but crashes
in spectacular ways.

5. nVidia's drivers are NOT opensource, nor will they release the
specs for their chipsets to allow an opensource driver. Granted, their
commercial detonator driver is fast, but not entirely rock-solid yet (IMHO).

Linux Tribes2 really does fly on an ASUS-A7V with a 1.333Ghz proc and a
GeForce2 Ultra card, however. ;)
