Can someone recommend a Linux compatible external HDD, please?

Something I might acquire used or very reasonable? I need to expand
the capacity of my old IBM ThinkPad HDD (360m) somewhat.

Also, anyone have the AC adapter for this beast laying around?

Dr. PaulM (another SLUG newbie) is hooking me up with the driver
I need to get Linux to talk to the PCMCIA 3Com nic. Kudos to Paul!
