You beat me to it. :)
I personally think it's a really good idea. It's a little close to the
actual date, but we can still get the Linux10 people to put a link on
their website. We can send email notices to some of the news sites and
make other LUGs aware. As far as I've been able to tell, the next
closest event corresponding with the 10th anniversary stuff is either in
Texas or Boston. It would be nice to have a Southeast event available
for people who wanted to try to make it.
And, as we saw at the CTS expo, I'm sure there are a lot of people who
won't say anything, but will show up.
