Verizon DOES NOT block ports. As a matter of fact, Verizon doesn't
really even care what you do with the connection as long as it is not
illegal. Yes you will need a business account to get a static IP
address, but you can run many services with a dynamic IP service (I
use www.myip.org). I have for quite a long time now.
Actually you can pull more then one IP address by using a crossover
cable and a hub connected directly to the DSL modem. Although I
wouldn't try to get more then three or four at a time or they might
ask you to get a business account if you do.
Well I only pay $39.95/mo. so I guess they raised the price since I
got it. I guess they'll be passing that on to me when my contract
runs out. :(
