Because NSI are the antichrist.

They've been criticized countless times for not releasing expired domain
names so that competing registrars or potential customers can buy them.
They're notorious for holding onto anything that expires until they have
determined whether or not they can "auction" a particular domain name
off for a premium.

Avoid NSI for your domain needs...
