And here's my last comment.

The SPARC/Solaris platform is to servers as the PowerPC/MacOS
platform is to desktops. Sun is able to differentiate itself from
both the other proprietary players as well as the Lintel/Wintel
economies of scale advantage just like Apple is versus others who
have tried as well as even Lintel/Wintel on desktops.
