Does anybody know how to stress the system to make it fail on pre 2.4.9 kernels? I did notice some code in that article but I was hopeing to have something much much more violent. I want to verify that the newer kernel versions can handle it and the old ones can't. This way I won't get bit if the loads increase. I could also post the results. I have several servers and workstations with different kernels (redhat 2.4.3, 2.4.7, 2.4.9) on them including a custom kernel 2.4.14pre5 with ext3 (this is not an AC kernel).

Give me another day or two to finish up and you'll see some research
from me that should explain a lot of this....
