you have to have an existing internet connection.
just put in the IP address of the computer you want to connect to.
example, I have putty on my laptop to connect to the server at work
from anywhere.
I have port 22 on the router forwarded to the server box. it's the
only open port. so when I use putty or ssh and give it our public ip
address it gets forwarded to the server.
then just put in you login name and password.

I am using a dialup from home,,, just where do I indicate the phone
number
to call???
I realize it is easy to use,, I use it all the time from my '98 box
at work
to connect to my servers, but that is over a lan and it found the
server
easily. How does it know to dial out??

I'm using it now. It's so simple you don't need a manual.
Download the .exe then run it.
