[SLUG] Kmail question

I would like to go into area without the app automatically landing
on a message and opening it. That is the way the other mailers
I am used to working with operate, is there a way to make KMail
function this way? In other words I do not want a message open
until I click on it. That way it will not get marked as read until I am
ready to read it. If this can not be done, what is a mailer that will
function in this way?
