[SLUG] error with startx after Woody upgrade

Using a Sun SPARCstation 5 with 256MB RAM
I used to run startx successfully with Potato 2.2r2.

I'm getting this when running startx under my new Woody :^>

X: cannot stat /etc/X11/X (No such file or directory), aborting.
giving up.
xinit: Connection refused (errno 61): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.

I don't know much about the interworkings of X, but I'm willing to read.
