[SLUG] DSL Masq

Hey everyone,

I'm going through the NAG, attempting to get my zoo connected to the outside
world. First, I've got poet (my computers are named after smurfs), that has
two ethernet cards, one attached to my dsl modem, and the other attached to a
hub I got dirt cheap. Vanity (my computer on the internal network) is
attached to this same hub. They can see each other just fine
(ping...ping.....ping.....ping.....) but getting the NAT/MASQ working doesn't
have an example in the NAG. The problem is that I have to PPPoE (ppp over
ethernet) to connect ot the internet, which creates 1.) a ppp0 device which
has the IP address, and 2.) the IP address isn't static. I do have,
therefore, four devices: eth0, eth1, ppp0, and lo. eth1 is set to
192.168.1.1, and eth0 doesn't have an IP number, I guess because of the way
the PPPoE works.

How can I get vanity to see the outside world?

Thanks for your help!

Russell
