Looks like there's something wrong with your ld search path. Can you try:

'ldconfig -n /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux/CORE/'

-OR-

make a soft link to it from /usr/lib, and run ldconfig.

It sounds like it should be under /usr/lib but the link is gone.... ?
