I have a 3 AA-cell holder with a flat 4-pin (one plugged) connector (like
what is often used for the sound card to cd-drive cable and the speaker
connector.

This came out of an old motherboard and was used to hold the BIOS CMOS.

Does your mobo have a provision for such a connector?
