I'm satisfied with TWC. We had seven people connected to TWC at our
place last week through an Apple Airport, and had no slowdowns.

I have had -0- problems connecting Linux boxes directly to the cable
modem. The only problem we had -- a defective modem -- brought a
courteous service rep to our door in less than four hours with a
replacement modem, an apology, and an "Oh, you use Linux? Then you do
the setup and I'll watch and learn instead of the other around" attitude.

Of course, with Mandrake it's pitifully simple (easier than Windows) to
establish a DHCP cable modem connection.

We've only had one significant TWC outage; the one that took down all
kinds of services in the southeast because of backbone problems, and cut
off Earthlink/Mindspring too. My backup-to-the-backup dialup UUNet
account still worked, but only for my Linux box; UUNet supports Linux
just fine, but doesn't play well with Macs -- or Apple Airports.
