Okay. There are several ways to do this, and yes they will involve
learning the various *mail programs to some degree.
Scenario 1:
Setup fetchmail to get the mail and then either procmail or aliases to
drop it into each of your local accounts. You delete the stuff of hers that
you don't want and vice versa. Outbound can be setup to rewrite to the
correct return address (the shared one).
Scenario 2:
Shell out a few bucks and get separate email addresses, repeat #1 only
without the duplicates. You might be able to use one of the free email
services, but I'm not sure which (if any) support pop or imap.
Scenario 3:
Setup one of the free web mail services as a second address and have it
forward that person's mail to your shared address. Fetchmail _might_ be
able to pull it apart in 'multidrop' mode and put it in the correct
local account.
