Well with redhat , mandrake , corel using oss, suse it was not possible to
make it work.
How ever under Stormix Linux Travis , and Derek got it to work. Which
Stormix was a debian based distro.
The problem is it uses a Neomagic combo graphics and sound chipset which has
major problems with Linux.

Now then I no longer use this unit but Robin Miller has told me that the
Redmond Linux distro will support this.
I have not tried Redmond on that unit because I use my Compaq Persario
Laptop now for running Linux.

Besides the sound I also had pcmcia problems. Again this would not work on
the 390. I only got it to work once.
I did get a usb nic for 30.00 nic from comp usa and it works with linux in
fact it came with a linux driver.

Now then perhaps others has had better results with this unit but I can tell
you mine was a pain.
Now then my 390 is not a 390e it is just a plain 390.

good luck.
