I have win2k running (machines which I use at work) on some
machines, I can see my SAMBA machine and in fact it ask for
a log in, I do the log in and now can see my home directory, but
when I attempt to enter it I get the following complaint on the
win2k machine:

\\Gecko\kp4djt is not accessable
The network name connot be found.

I did have this working, but somehow I blew away my smb.conf
file, I thought I had a back up but appears that something is different.

Any ideas folks?

To paraphrase my flight instructor;
"the only dumb question is the one you DID NOT ask resulting in my
going out and having to identify your bits and pieces in the midst of
torn and twisted metal."
