Thanks. The DNS setting was the source of problem. The box was
built on a different network. I neglected to change the DNS settings to use
the DNS servers for it's present ISP. Apparently my isp's DNS servers were
rejecting the reverse IP lookups comming a different domain. No changes
beyond the proper DNS settings were required.
