Subject: [SLUG] System can't find SCSI CD for source media

Hello SLUGs:

I'm new to your list and wonder if I could get some assistance from 'yall.

I'm installing Slackware 8.0 on an old HP Netserver Pro:
* Hardware RAID 5
* SCSI CD
* 2x PPro 180

I'm able to:
* boot from the boot disk (megaraid boot disk)
* mount root from the root disk
* run setup

Problem is when I select source media as CD-ROM the system reports that it
can't find one. BIOS finds it earlier in startup and I can boot from it.
However if I boot from the install CD the system won't recognize my RAID
system, I'd guess due to the limited boot file choices on the CD i.e. no
megaraid. Any ideas on how to resolve or workaround would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks Much
John Clay
