I think that the "problem" with SuSE is that they have expertly mixed both
"Free" and proprietary software in ways that don't upset the GPL applecart,
and which allow SuSE to control distribution of their product. For example, I
believe that Yast2 is not GPL, but it's an integral part of the SuSE
distribution, so if they say you can't distribute that, there's no point in
distributing the rest, even though you can.
