Ah, both Mandrake and SuSE are very easy to use. SuSE has a superior setup
utility called YAST (1 & 2) SAX for X setup. Works both in term and X.

All things equal I've gotten more excited about the sheer number of s/w I
have available from my SuSE PRO.

I just put a friend of mine on it and she loves it. Almost no help from me
and she's not exactly "gifted" in the area...

I've use a number of differnet ones. Now I have Plextor which has a good
quality record. (PX-W1210A) A few over $100. Writes Once is 12X and RW is 10X.
AND has this long awaited feature of being under-write safe. If the buffer
becomes empty it simply stops burning, then resumes as buffer fills up.
AND it reads DVD's!!
