You basically can't edit the PS files directly, and I don't think that
even the full Acrobat package can edit PDFs (you must have the original
FrameMaker, MSWord, etc. file).

If it is an active PDF form (one that is designed to be filled-in in
Acrobat), then you can do something. You will not be able to save the
filled-in form to disk (unless you buy the full Acrobat), but you can:
Fill-in the form, print the form to a file (this will be a Postscript
file), run "ps2pdf psfilename.ps newfilename.pdf", and you will have
a PDF file that you can email back. This won't do any good if the
people you are sending it to have an automated system for tearing-apart
their PDFs and digging-out your information.
