A second thought. There's always the 'pre-install over the internet
business'. If you did it right, you possibly stay in business. I think that
part of the problem with Linuxcare and VALinux was that they started out too
big, and moved too quickly. They didn't grow with the market, they over-grew
and consumed all of their resources too quickly. A small vendor, on the other
hand, can more easily stay in business, since you're only going to be one or
two people, and your focus can be the customer, not growth or your investors,
which can be distractions. Linux will grow, but the market for Linux has to
be carefully maintained, like a rose garden. Rome wasn't built in a day, and
roses require lots of care...
