I understand that, but they did ship it with RH 7.1 and it fails exactly the
same what there too. So I would believe the problem is in how I have
configured it, but I actually have not done anything. I just selected the
different panels, and the very last one is totally blank.

On the RH site, they show pictures for several of the releases, and they all
have something on that last panel. I believe because mine is blank, that is
why I can not use the WEB FIND function. Everything else works perfectly.

Since RH stopped shipping it, they must have something better. How do you
go out and look at available packages on RH now?

There must be other GUI driven RPM search tools out there which do sitll
work???

I just tried this on another even older machine I dragged in from the
garage, it's an RH 7.0 machine and it also fails exactly the same way, so I
am begining to think that the data base or something is just no longer in
existance. Why would releases 7.0, 7.1 both fail like release 8.0 (I
installed GNORPM package on 8.0) unless the remote support is what the
problem is?

I have no particular desire to only use GNORPM to look for new and fun
things to try, but there must be some GUI packages other than GNORPM that
let you do a "WEB FIND" function for new packages.
