I have a 390e (300MHz P2M - 256MB RAM) that also has the ever so
wonderful Lucent Winmodem. From sites I have found around the net
(www.linux-laptop.net & www.linmodems.org) say it can be done, I have
yet to get it working. Be it that PCMCIA modems are so cheap I was able
to come across a 3COM 10/100LAN+56k for $30 on the net (Price Watch has
them for $40 - Model number 3CCFEM556B) that worked great...
...Until the dongle broke :-p
