RESOLVED

Somewhere in the docs for X, it said to use xf86config. Do you think
it's RedHat's desire to avoid xf86config and use Xconfigurator
exclusively? It's working, but I don't know what the difference is
between xf86config's work or Xconfigurator's. I'd imagine they're
both the same, but apparently not.

I was trying to load Xconfigurator before, but I had some dependency
conflicts. It complained about hwdata needing an older version of
Xconfigurator, so I stayed away. Until you mentioned it, I wasn't
going to try it. In the end, I had to remove the following packages
in order to finally install and run the latest Xconfigurator from
up2date

rpm -ev hwdata usbutils hotplug

I'll get those licked later. Thanks for all the help, folks!
