Turn the modem volume up (hopefully it is external), and do the
following:
echo ATDT1234567 > /dev/ttyS0
echo ATDT1234567 > /dev/ttyS1
echo ATDT1234567 > /dev/ttyS2
etc. You'll hear the modem pick up the line when you get the correct
serial port.
