thanks for the help. I verified the SMTP server as outgoing.verizon.net
and they said they use authentication (username + password). How do I
specify the username and password in the configuration file? I see a
line for define(`confDEF_USER_ID',``8:12'')dnl but not sure what the
protocol is and where one would put the password... -eric
