It's all about the almighty dollar. There is no sense
to be made out of any of it...only cents.
I'm pretty sure that someone in SCO has already
decided how to use the "revenue" they expect this
lawsuit to generate for them. I wouldn't be surprised
to find that a shortage in cash for some of their
projects is low, which prompted this.
I don't have any first-hand knowledge of this company
or their products, but it is practices like this that
prompted me to discontinue the use of MS products. I'm
sure IBM didn't "hurt" them...it's just a source of
free money for them. Unfortunately, that is quickly
becoming "The American Way".
