Hello List o' SLUGs....
I've finally gotten a key piece of what I want to do with the SLUG site
implemented in Plone.* It's the "Create a new Job" aspect. This will allow
the user to create a new job posting, submit it to the webmaster (or other
reviewer/approver) who would then publish the Job, and finally (by using the
workflow) emailing all the members of the SLUG site. The emailing part still
has a bug or two yet, but hopefully will be working as it should soon.
Another thing is that the Job type is in a "beta" status, but I want feedback
from the membership first, before it's live.
About going live: is anyone willing to host a Zope instance anywhere? This
will be the next step in transitioning from the current SLUG site to the
Plone version. This is with the list's and Executive Committee's blessing, of
course. :-)
