[SLUG] Hotsync Palm V

I am having a problem syncing my Palm V with Evolution 1.0.8-11.
Actually, I don't think the Palm will sync with anything. I set up the
symbolic link to /dev/pilot. I hit the hotsync button on the cradle and
it seems to sync, but it's much too fast and nothing from my PDA has
populated the corresponding Evolution utils.

When I open the pilot settings, the Sync Type says "Use Conduit
settings". When I try to change this to any other setting, it aways
reverts to "Use Conduit settings".

Anybody have any ideas ?
