I couldn't agree more.. I got fed up with the direction the IT
field was turning about a year ago. Luckily I also have CAD
experience in Surveying and Engineering. CAD jobs do not seem
to be as volatile as IT. The pay may not be as good as some of
the IT jobs I have had in the past, but the combination of a
little more job security and actually having offtime/weekends
to myself (most of the time) make me a bit more of a happy person.
