I like the idea of a letter however I am unsure what dollar value to attach to
the MS Tax I paid on my laptops I purchased with Windows pre-installed.

So far here is my breakdown of value:
99.00 for each Windows 98 (street price at the time of laptop purchase)
+ 1hr of labor to uninstall and install Linux
149.00 for each WIndows XP
+ 1hr of labor to uninstall and install Linux

What value are you planning to attach?

Regards
Russ
