Seems akin to Coke or Pepsi requiring that only the Coke family or the
Pepsi family (respectively) be sold at a venue, restaurant, university,
etc.

Surely you mean east of 301? I think I may have seen that place -- they
have a vinyl sign that says simply "COMPUTERS"?

I've had good luck (of the two times I bought there) at a place in the
shopping center on the southwest corner of Lumsden and Kings. They're on
the second tier back of shops, so you can't see them from the parking lot.
They're near the Clerk of Circuit Court's office.
