As it sounds like you already know that one have standards and that lowering
them comes right back. I'd say someones integrity is more important, cause
when you loose that, what's left?

It also seems like these guys are utter amateurs, or worse. If you cannot
reeducate them they will find a reason to get rid of you soon enough. You
don't fit into their plans. They have no responsibility past grabbing a
quick buck!

Don't think it includes you, they are already trying to get you to sell out
so that you can be as bad as they are.

You are probably a threat to them as every bad "product" they have done is
now showing up. Look back to that hiring interview, what was it that sticks
most in your mind? I'm sure there was some warning signs...

I'd try to sit down and see if I can enlighten them as to what it would mean
to have proper working code, how much easier it is to maintain etc. In the
long run it's cheaper to do it right, and so on. When that failed you saw
they simply don't care. Money is everything, in their eyes. They have
decided that the proper solution to their financial problem was to rip off
their customers from here on out. To hell with integrity!

I bet you that the last programmer is gone for the same reason the previous
and that previous, programmer got fired - because they got the blame for
these quicky solutions that didn't work. You know it's just a matter of
time... Some customer is going to be pissed off, they call the company and
fire them or some such. Your boss will put that squarely on you! Can you
say bye bye?

So you have the misfortune of working for this poor excuse of a business.
Needing the money to survive and so on. Find a fast solution on Your terms
before it becomes Their terms!

Actually it could be an opportunity. Clearly here's an industry that is in
trouble if they buy from these guys. All you need to do is to deliver a
better working product...
