 I have never seen ViaVoice actually operate other than in the hands of
an IBM employee. I have had many friends try to make it work, but all
have failed.

If anyone can get it working even semi-decently on my Toshiba laptop --
it'll need to use USB sound because laptop innards are typically too
noisy (electrically) for analog voice recognition to work on them --
they will have my dying gratitude.
