Perhaps my wording was slightly unclear -- I was referring to
outsourcing/offshoring, not implying that Indian or Chinese people in
general cannot be good programmers.
In any case, the quality of work I've seen from offshore sources has been
uniformly awful. Generally labor is sourced from poor countries when
there is a perception amongst management that the work is simple or
menial, and nothing could be further from the truth in this case.
