_Note_ that OOo uses its _own_ font server, it does not use the X font server.
Installing for use with other, non-OOo apps will depend on your distro.
Red Hat has step by step instructions at their site for RHx distros.
Read OOo documentation, it will tell you how to install a font for use under
OOo apps.
