I have an HP Vectra,1.7 P4 and 256 rdram.
I have a swapable hdd bay with several hdd's to play with. A mandrake
9.1 is my prim. drive at the moment
To install knoppix i start with a clean drive and set up a 256mb swap
part and the rest as primary boot.
I am using the latest knoppix ver. 2,7.8
Boot up with knoppix cd
click on menu K icon lower LH menu bar
Find knoppix/root shell and open it
Type in: knx-hdinstall and follow instructions
Note! Before running apt-get you might want to rename the
etc/apt/sources.list
the one that comes with knoppix might cause problems.
I would be glad to mail you the one that Paul helped me with. Maury
