I got a wireless router, model USR8054, hostname usr8054. It has an
option to log to syslog. Great, I thought. I'd done the
bunch-o-machines, single log host thing before.
syslog is listening to the network:
udp 0 0 *:syslog *:* 8020/syslogd
The router's config page says this:
Syslog Server 192.168.1.11
which is my address, says ifconfig:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:50:BA:AF:1F:A3
inet addr:192.168.1.11 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
I think such communication is allowed by tcpd:
ALL:192.168.1.25
which is the router's address, says its config page:
IP Address 192.168.1.25
How do I see which device isn't doing what I want? Thanks.
