The rocket scienists at SBC were out spray-painting Orange
paint on the lawns, roads and sidewalks last week.
(For those of you who may have seen this, it alsi had a
periodic "F" across the lines.)
Yes -- you guessed it -- a Fiber Cut a leg of the SONET ring
(or at least a line hit, loostening a joint) has occurred.
They have escalated and have a truck on the way to the site.
Actually, as SONET is bi-directional, and we have an outage [a
SONET ring should 'heal' by sending traffic in the non-broken
direction], it means they have in us a segment with TWO cuts
-- isolating us all the way back.
